Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister, Uttarakhand, Lt. Gen. (Retd) Gurmit Singh, Governor of Uttarakhand and Shri Premchand Aggarwal, Finance Minister of Uttarakhand were among the prominent personalities who witnessed Marut’s drone journey conducted over a period of 60 days live in Uttarakhand.
In collaboration with KRIBHCO and the Department of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, Marut raised awareness about aerial spraying of pesticides, showcasing the capabilities of agricultural drones and their impact on modern farming. This awareness campaign also educates women about government schemes like NaMo Drone Didi and Lakhpati Didi Yojana, which provide information about up to 50% government subsidy on farmer drones and collateral-free loans up to Rs 2 crore.
Marut’s drone journey has resulted in increased enrollment of women in drone training programs at remote pilot training organizations. These programs provide insight into drone spraying processes by DGCA certified trainers, as well as experience flying crop drones.
Speaking on this achievement, Prem Kumar Vislavath, CEO and Founder, Marut Drones, said, “The Marut team is equipped to meet the challenges of conducting the demonstration in the challenging terrain and harsh winter climate of Uttarakhand. Despite the challenges, the response from farmers has been overwhelming, leading to increased demand for farmer drones and enrollment for drone pilot training programs. Marut’s grassroots outreach has effectively informed the farming community about the transformative impact of drone technology on their livelihoods and financial stability.
